![]() ![]() ![]() We are proud of our accomplishments at MVHS and within the surrounding community. Our members also plan and organize service activities year round, such as Trunk or Treat, Reach Parties for honor roll students, and book drives.to name a few. In addition to the strong academic records which established our eligibility for membership, our chapter members are leaders in many student organizations and we serve our school and community through many activities including twice a week tutoring at Monticello Trails Middle School, free tutoring for students here at Mill Valley, and volunteering at the ALS Walk, Swipe Out Hunger, and Run for Mercy. Throughout the year, members of our chapter serve as role models for other students. Our chapter is proud to have been inducting new members since 2000. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. NHS and NJHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in activities of the NHS and National Junior Honor Soceity (NJHS). These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921. The National Honor Society is the nations premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Welcome to the NHS Webpage!
